The blackletter typography piece titled Venom is an ambigram that reads "Woman" when read upside down.
I designed this piece to explore duality, power and softness. All coexisting in a single word mark. The sharp, angular strokes of the blackletter style help communicate intensity, while the mirrored ambigram brings a subtle femininity to the design. It was a challenging but rewarding process to make both words legible without sacrificing the edge I was attempting to preserve. This piece is intended to push the idea of type as both visual expression and layered meaning.
